Critter Advocacy is designed to be useful without requiring an account or asking visitors to submit personal details.

Information handled when you visit

Our hosting provider may process routine technical data—such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, date and time, and security events—to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and maintain reliability. We do not currently use advertising pixels, behavioral advertising cookies, account registration, or audience analytics.

When you contact us

If you email editor@critteradvocacy.org, we receive the address you use and the information you include. We use it to respond and to maintain necessary correspondence. Please do not send veterinary records, payment information, passwords, or other sensitive personal data.

Links to other websites

Our guides link to manufacturers, veterinary and welfare organizations, universities, government agencies, and other independent websites. Those sites set their own privacy practices. A link does not give us access to information you provide there.

Product links

Our current product links are direct, non-affiliate links. Critter Advocacy does not receive a commission when a visitor follows them or makes a purchase. If that changes, the relevant pages will carry a clear disclosure.

AI assistance

Some editorial work uses AI assistance. The Critter Advocacy Editorial Team reviews and approves every published guide and is responsible for the final text.

Children’s privacy

This site is written for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it when appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page when the site’s practices change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
